5, including five-month-old baby, dead after double-decker bus rams truck in UP

A five-month-old baby and a woman were among five people killed in a private double-decker bus accident on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh.
The accident occurred when the bus, travelling from Delhi to Azamgarh, rammed into the truck from behind. The impact shattered the bus, trapping bodies and passengers inside.
In the accident, 15 others, including an 11-month-old girl, a five-year-old child, three women, and nine men, were injured. The locals rescued the injured by breaking the bus windows. They were rushed to Kailash Hospital in Jewar for treatment.
Local police rushed to the spot. They sent the bodies to the mortuary for postmortem. Three bodies have been identified, while the two remain unidentified.
The bus belonged to Krishna Travels, a company based in Faizabad.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident, which occurred in the Tappal Police Station area.
